Early Life

SolidStar was born to Mr. and Mrs. Iniyezo in Delta State, Nigeria. His family originated from Aviara town. He was the last born in a family of four and was raised by his grandmother after his parents separated when he was very young. Interestingly, the name ‘SolidStar’ was initially coined by his grandmother, who used to call him that.

Education

SolidStar attended Goriola Primary and Oshodi Secondary School, Tolu Complex, Olodi Apapa. However, due to a lack of funds, he could not further his education.

Career

SolidStar began his music career at the age of 14 when he started playing the drums for his church choir in Aviara. He was discovered a few years later at a music talent show in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State, where he was introduced to Paul Cole, a record label boss. In 2010, SolidStar formally signed to Achievas Music and released his debut album One in a Million through the label. The album was a hit, fueled by its lead single “One in a Million,” which was a collaboration with 2face Idibia. Since then, SolidStar has released several other albums and singles and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Nigerian music industry such as Wizkid, Davido, and Olamide.

SolidStar is currently unmarried. He has been in a few relationships in the past, but none of them have resulted in marriage. He is currently focused on his career and is not looking to settle down anytime soon. In 2021, SolidStar shared his heartbreaking story after getting introduced to hard drugs. He has since recovered and is doing well.
